The hot weather season has the following characteristics: (i) There is overall increase in temperature e.g. the temperature of Northern plains is between 42 to 45°C and in the Deccan plateau between 35 to 38°C. ... HOT SEASON( summer season)

1.It is called the summer season and it reigns from March to July.

2.Annual temperature ranges from 25-35°C in plains and 15-20°C in hilly areas.

3.Annual rainfall ranges from 100-125cm.

4.Advent of S-W monsoon winds and eventual clash with N-E trade winds cause disturbances called kalboishakhi with torrential(occasional,uneven) rain.

5.The kharif crops like rice are cultivated in this season.

6.Fruits like mango,litchi,are well found. Between the kharif and rabi season certain crops called zaid crops(e.g.cucumber,watermelon) are abundant.

7.normlly light colour clothes are preferred to wear.
