A beam balance is a device which actually gives us Weight of the object under the gravitational field ...it consist of a knife resting at the 0 value and a pointer ...2 resting plates where it can be weigh the beam balance should be at 0 when no such object is placed on it and the also if you use an analog one make sure those plates show same level of elevation

- Both pans are of equal mass.
- Both the arms are of equal length.
- Both the pants are suspended with strings of equal length and mass.
- The Beam is horizontal and the pointer vertical ,when nothing is placed on either pan .
