Hello friend
Here goes your answer
I'll show it by Euclid's division lemma
a=bq+r
Let b=4
So r can take the values 0,1,2,3
When r=0
a=4q+0
Here it is divisible by 2 so it is an even number
When r=1
a=4q+1
This is an odd number
When r=2
a=4q+2
It is divisible by 2 so it is an even number
When r=3
a=4q+3
It is an odd number
So all the positive odd numbers are of the form 4q+1 or 4q+3
