hey!!
here is ur answer!!
_________________________
The human ear is concerned with two functions hearing and body balance.
It has three main division (i) outer ear (ii) middle ear (iii) inner ear
1. The outer ear consist of - pinna , auditory canal and the ear drum
2. the middle ear consist of - three tiny bones and the Eustachian tube...
3. The inner ear is consist of the cochlea and semicircular canal...
==================================
WORKING OF EAR...
1. Hearing...
the Pinna collects the sound wave and conduct them through the external auditory canal. they finally strike on the eardrum which is set into vibration
The eustachian tube Equaliser the air pressure on either side of the eardrum allowing it to vibrate.
the vibrating a drum set the three ossicles also into vibration
the vibration of last ossicle is magnified due to lever like action of the first two ossicles.
the vibrating stirrup transmits the vibration to the membrane of the oval window which in turn said the fluid contained in the cochlea canal also in vibration
the vibrating movements of the fluid stimulate the hair like processes of the sense cells of the cochlea and the impulses are transmitted to the Brain via auditory nerve....
2. Body Balancing
The sensory cells in a semicircular canals are concerned with dynamic equilibrium that is while the body is in motion.
Similar sensory patches are located in the utriculus and sacculus which registers the static balance with respect to gravity..

Hope this helps u!!!!
