Middle Himalayas are called the Himachal or lesser Himalayas.

They are mainly composed of high compressed and altered rocks.

These ranges are well known as the hill stations.

These ranges are lying to the south of the greater Himalayas or Himadri which are the northern most ranges of Himalayas
