The first and foremost of the characteristic reptiles that are cold blooded.

They are able to regulate inner their body temperature to the temperature of environment. They have scaly skins but absence of hair or fur. This scale of the reptiles develop as a surface cells filled with keratin.

1. Ectothermic or cold blooded terrestrial or aquatic vertebrates with a body covered with dry water proof skin having epidermal scales and dermal scute plates.

2.Body varies in form and us usually divided into head, neck, trunk as well as trunk.

3. Limbs are like five toed type with clawed digits
