M.Hamel was a loyal French teacher, who fulfilled his fruitful duties towards teaching French language. M.Hamel was not only a decent teacher but also a true patriot.

M.Hamel considered French language as the most beautiful and logical language in the world. M.Hamel made his full efforts to teach French, their native language to all his students.

M.Hamel became extremely sad and desperate by the order passed from Berlin that from next day, French language won't be taught in the schools of Alsace and Lorraine. Only German would be taught.
