Stephen Hawking is very smart; he has several degrees, is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Oxford, and has been for 33 years. He got a First Class Honors degree in Natural Science from Oxford then went on to Cambridge to conduct research in Cosmology. He was awarded the CBE in 1982, and was made a Companion of Honor in 1989. He is the recipient of many awards, medals and prizes and is a part of The Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of Sciences.
Curious
Stephen Hawking can't do many activities, so he is always thinking about random things, this is where many of his theories come from. Some of his intelligence comes from this as well since he has sooooo much time to think about everything so he is constantly getting smarter.
Brave
Stephen had several tests done while he was being diagnosed with ALS. These can be very overwhelming. He had fluids injected into his spine, and MRI's done. He also was given 2 years to live and didn't panic too much Stephen is much braver than I could ever be.
