In the depletion zone, positive and negative charges are equal.

Due to this equilibrium of charges, the density charge across the p-n junction is constant.

This statement is true as it is known that there are no free carriers in the depletion region.

There are two charges in the depletion region - positive charge and negative charge and here all the positive charges are equal to the negative charges which balances the charges and as a result the density charge is constant throughout the p-n junction
