Mendel in his inheritance experiment found out how traits are inherited by offsprings from their parents. His work was rediscovered many years after his death. His work not only helped Darwin but also provided an explanation in building Darwin's arguments that mutation which is beneficial could spread throughout a population without getting diluted with the already present traits within the population, which ultimately provides insight of natural selection of species due to unfavourable conditions.
