finding out by remainder theorm method

let x+1=g(x)

put g(x) = 0

x+1=0

x=-1

substitute the value of x in the polynomial

(-1)^5-(-1)⁴+(-1)³-(-1)²-(-1)-1

-1-1-1-1+1-1

-5+1

-4

since remainder is not equal to 0 so x+1 is not factor of x^5-x⁴+x³-x²+x-1

hope it helps!!
