If the difference between the sum of digits in odd places and sum of digits in even places of a number is a multiple of 11 or equal to zero , then the given number is divisible by 11.

 Here , Given \: number 12129

 i) Sum \:of \:the \:digits \:at \:odd \:places \: from \:the \:left = 1 + 1 + 9 = 11

 ii) Sum \:of \:the \:digits \:at \:even \:places \: from \:the \:left = 2 + 2 = 4

 Difference = 11 - 4 \\= 7 \: \blue { (Which \:is \:not \: divisible \:by \: 11 )}

\therefore The\: number \:12129 \:is \:not \\divisible \:by \:11.
