Answer:

p(x)= x-4

p+4)= 4-4

=0

therefore, yes 4 is a zero of polynomial x-4

Now, again

p(-4)= x-4

= -4-4

=-8

Therefore, -4 is not a zero of polynomial x-4

\huge\underline\mathrm{Question-}

check whether 4 and -4 are zeroes of polynomial (x-4) or not.

\huge\underline\mathrm{Solution-}

1) Let's check either 4 is the zero of given polynomial or not.

★ put x = 4

=> 4 - 4

=> 0

\therefore 4 is the zero of given polynomial.

2) Let's check either -4 is the zero of given Polynomial or not.

★ Put x = -4

=> - 4 - 4

=> -8

\therefore -4 is not the zero of given Polynomial.
