put x+1=0

x= -1

check whether -1 is the factor of equation by putting it in place of x . if answer comes zero then x+1 is the factor of 2x³+x²-2x-1

Answer:

x + 1 = 0   \\ x =  - 1 \\ \blue{ \underline{\mathfrak{\large{put \: x=-1 \: in \: the \: equation }}} :}\\ 2 {x}^{3}  +  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 1 \\  = 2 { (- 1)}^{3}  +  {(1)}^{2}  - 2( - 1) - 1 \\  =  - 2 + 1 + 2 - 1 \\  = 0 \\ \red{\mathfrak{\large{Therefore, \: x + 1  \: is \: the \: factor \: of }}} \\ \red{\mathfrak{\large{of \:  2 {x}^{3}  +  {x}^{2}  - 2x - 1}}} \\  \\ \purple{\mathfrak{ \large{\underline{{Hope \: It \: Helps \: You}}}}} \\ \orange{\mathfrak{ \large{\underline{{Mark \: Me \: Brainliest}}}}}
