Yes, 496 is a perfect number, that is to day 496 equals the sum of its proper positive divisors, i.e., the sum of its divisors excluding 496 itself. Indeed, 496 = 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 31 + 62 + 124 + 248.
