⇒ x = 1

Putting the value of x in p (x), we get ;

x³ - 27 x² - 8x + 18

⇒ 1³ - 27 × 1² - 8 × 1 + 18

⇒ 1 - 27 - 8 + 18

⇒ 19 - 35

⇒ 16

Hence, p ( x ) is not the multiple of g ( x ).
