 It is not a factor because remainder is not 0 it is 12..

x-1=0

x=1

4+5-3+6=4+5+3=4+8=12

sanayaa: please check answer
sanayaa: i think it is wrong
aastha15das: no the answer is not wrong..

Heyya !!

Given:-
( x- 1 ) is a factor of 4x³+5x² -3x + 6.

x - 1 = 0
x = 1

p[x] = 4x³+5x² -3x + 6.

p [ 1 ] = 4 × 1³ + 5 ×1² - 3×1 + 6
4 + 5 -3 + 6 = 0
9 - 3 + 6 = 0
6+ 6 = 0
12 = 0

Here , LHS is not equal to RHS.

Hence ,
( x- 1 ) is not a factor of 4x³+5x² -3x + 6.
