2x - y = 5
 on \: putting \: x=2 \sqrt{3} and \: y=-  \sqrt{3}
2(2 \sqrt{3} )   -  ( -  \sqrt{3} ) = 5
4 \sqrt{3}  +  \sqrt{3}  = 5
5 \sqrt{3}  = 5
