x+1=0
Therefore,
x= -1
x³-x²-x+1
=> (-1)³-(-1)²-(-1)+1
=> -1-(+1)+1+1
=> -1-1+1+1
=> -2+2[Minus two(-2) and plus two (+2) gets cancelled]
Hence (x+1) is a factor
