Answer:

So total Bologna sandwiches would be 42

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Ratio of three burgers

which are

Cheese : Bologna : Peanut Butter = 5:7:8

Total sandwiches = 120

TO find :

No of bologna sandwich = ?

Solution:

In ratio and proportion we have the formula to find an unknown amount if they are given in ratio by the sum of ratio method

e.g:

If we have a:b and we have to find total value of a and x is total we have then

a = (a*x)/ (a +b)

Where a+b is sum of ratio

Now for our question

Sum of ratio = 5+7+8

                     = 20

Quantity of bologna =\frac{Ratio of Bologna * (TotalSandwiches)}{Sumofratio}

Putting in the values

Quantity of bologna =\frac{7 * (120)}{20}

                                        = 7 * 6

                                        = 42

So total Bologna sandwiches would be 42
