Answer:

The two methods of synthesising nanomaterials : (1) Bottom-up and (2) Top down methods

(1) Bottom-up method: Synthesis of nanoparticles in the bottom-up approach molecular components arrange themselves into more complex assemblies atom by atom, molecule by molecule and cluster by cluster from the bottom. Example: synthesis of nanoparticles by colloidal dispersion.

(2) Top-down method : In the top-down approach, involves nanomaterials being synthesised from bulk material by breaking the material. The bulk sOlids are disassembied into iner pieces until they are constituted ol only few atoms. Example : Nanoparticles are synthesised by colloidal dispersion.
