An alloy is the when a metal and a metal, or a metal and another element bond together. Metal alloys always have copper as their main component.

Like all things, bronze has specific elements it likes to form bonds with to make a copper alloy.

Historically, a bronze alloy would almost always combine copper with tin. However in modern times, we use less tin than in the past, and we add elements like zinc, aluminum, and nickle.

Depending on the specific scenario, it is likely that tin would be the right answer, however it is possible that zinc could also be the right answer.

I would go with tin, solely for the fact that history can back you up.
