Helen grew up on a farm with her family which included two sisters. Farm life involves chores and exploring the outdoors and Helen participated as much as she could. Although deaf and blind, she was able to explore the world with her hands, nose and mouth. She touched things, smelled flowers and other things and tasted food and other parts of her environment. Once Anne Sullivan entered the household, she spent quite a bit of time with her learning sign language. It's likely she also played games with her siblings but I was not able to find documentation about what exactly those games were.
