Hey!
"Children are like wet cement"
It is a true fact. Children are like wet cement. That is, it is the elders who shape. They get shaped in the way they see the world. Therefore it is extremely necessary to be in a right atmosphere and right condition as children are the future of our world.
Hardship
William was a poor boy. He lived with his father who owned a small bakery. There was not much for sale. They used to sell buns, bread and cream rolls. William was a bright boy and an avid reader. But the trouble was money. They didn't have money for his education. Still William collected books from other children and used to read them. William's father, Henry would often tell his son, "Do not lose hope my son. Be strong. Be courageous to face every situation" William, from a very small age learned to worl heard. One day one of their customers, impressed by William's eagerness to study, offered to teach him. He was a teacher. Henry was the happiest person alive. He immediately agreed and let William study. William made rapid progress and finally turned into a successful business man.
Therefore, if Henry had not taught William those powerful words and given the strength to rise in difficult situations William would have lost hope.
Hope this helps...

Hey there!
"Children are like wet cement."
Indeed a true thing. Children are like wet cement. When cement is wet, it can be shaped into almost all the shapes you want it to. Children too, like wet cement, are moulded into what they become when they grow up. A child who has witnessed only negatives and violence tends to grow up violent or pessimistic. So, one has to be very careful in what condition a child is being brought up.
Here's a story in this context :-
There was once a boy who lived with his parents and his grandfather. Now that his grandfather was very old and clumsy, his parents kept the old man isolated from themselves. They gave him a separate table to eat as he dropped food while eating and gave him a torn-out blanket during night time. The boy was very much affected by the behaviour of his parents towards his grandfather.
One day the boy's mother found him playing with a house-set. He had laid down a table at one place and another table very far away from the first one. The boy also had a old, worn cloth piece in his hand. Seeing his boy, the mother asked him why he kept a table away from the rest and the reason why he had a worn, old cloth with him.
The boy humbly replied " This separated table is for you and father. I'll give you this table to eat when I have my own house. And I'll give you this cloth to cover yourself at night time.
The mother was stunned by the child's reply.
At night, when the father returned home, the boy's mother told him everything that happened that evening.
Now they understood that a child's heart is very pure and whatever he sees leaves an impact on him. Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.
