Additive identity in rational numbers:

For any rational number, there is an element which when added to the rational number, gives the same number as its sum.

Like if p/q is a rational number, where p& q are integers , q not equal to zero.

When p/q is added to 0, the sum = p/q

P/q + 0 = p/q

The above mentioned equation is additive identity. And 0 is an additive element.
