The Treaty of Purandhar was signed between Raja Jaisingh and Shivaji. Raja Jaisingh represented the Mughal dynasty on behalf of Aurangazeb.

According to the Treaty of Purandhar signed in June 1665, Shivaji agreed to surrender 23 of his forts retaining only 12 for himself. He also agreed for a payment of 400,000 gold hun as compensation to the Mughals. Additionally, he agreed to play the role of a vassal for the empire and send his son Sambhaji with a troop of 5,000 horsemen as a mansabdar.
