Choose the correct option :-

(i) Sum of pair of supplementary angles is :

Answer: 180°

Supplementary angles add up to 180°and complementary angles add up to 90°

(ii)The sum of all the angles of a triangle is :

Answer: 180°

The sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°, note that this is an axiom and cannot be proved

(iii) A triangle having all the sides equal is

Answer: Equilateral triangle.

An equilateral triangle has all 3 sides equal. A isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides and a scalene triangle has no equal sides.

(iv)The side opposite to the right angle is called as :

Answer: Hypotenuse

Hypotenuse refers to the longest side of a right triangle, as 90° angle is the largest angle of a right triangle, side opposite to it will be the hypotenuse.

(v)A triangle has total number of elements is :

Answer: 6 elements

A triangle has a total of six elements, its three sides and three angles. For a ∆ABC, the six elements are: sides: AB, BC and CA, Angles: A, B and 6.

Question 2: Fill in the blanks

(i) Two angles forming a linear pair are called as supplementary angles.

A linear pair add up to 180°, and the pair of angles that add up to 180° are supplementary.

(ii) The standard form of -18/45 is -2/5

We can get its standard form by dividing both numerator and denominator by 9.

(iii) Rational numbers include integers and fractions.

(iv) The formula to find S.I. is (P × R × T)/100

(v) 35℅ + 65% = 100℅.

35% + x = 100%

x = 100% - 35%

x = 65%

(vi) A triangle has three medians.

We can create a median by using a vertex, a triangle has three vertex so it has three medians.

(vii) The formula to find amount is Principal + SI

Amount refers to the quantity of money with the interest added to the principal.

(viii) The side opposite to the right angle is called as hypotenuse

The side opposite to the right angle is the hypotenuse, and the adjacent sides are either base or the perpendicular ( this can be used interchangeably )
