  ⊆  symbol is for "subset"...  So LHS and RHS should be sets.

1) true.  { 1 } ⊆  {1,2,3,4,5 }    as  {1} is a subset of  set a.
2)   wrong.   1   is not a set
3)  False.    as  4 belongs to the set on RHS
4)  true.   as  3 belongs to the set a.

options (1) and (4) are  correct.

Question:

Choose the correct options : a = { 1,2,3,4,5 }

1) { 1 }⊆ { 1,2,3,4,5}

2) 1 ⊆ { 1,2,3,4,5}

3) 4 ∉ { 1,2,3,4,5}

4) 3 ∈ { 1,2,3,4,5}

Answer:

1. It's TRUE that { 1 } is the subset of { 1,2,3,4,5}

2. Its False That 1 is the subset of { 1,2,3,4,5 }

● ( Because the set bracket '{ } ' Denotes the number as a set of any terms )

3. Its False That 4 { 1,2,3,4,5}

( Because the symbol denotes that 4 not belongs to {1,2,3,4,5} )

But 4 is belongs to the set a

4. It's TRUE that 3 { 1,2,3,4,5}

( NOTE : If Needs to express any terms or value as a subset there should be set brackets which shows thier self as a set )
