➡NOTE THAT:

✨The subject in the sentence (usually it is a noun) and the verb have to be the same in terms of gender and in number.

In English gender usually doesn't effect the verb.

✨So both the subject and the verb together have to be plural or singular.

✨Usually in the past and future tenses the form of verb is the same for plural or singular subjects. Thus the agreement between the subject and the verb applies mainly to the present tense and its subtenses.

Some examples are:

✔He is running. They are running.

✔He has to write. She has to write. I have to write.

Additional Information :-

Guidelines for Subject Verb Agreement :-

• A Singular subject is followed by a singular Verb and Plural subject is followed by Plural verb.

Example :-

Singular : A child likes to play.

Plural : Children like to play.

• Whenever two or more subjects are joined by 'and', Plural verb is used.

Example :- Vishakha and Mansi are going for shopping.

• When two subjects are connected with 'and' but refer to the same Person, Singular Verb is used.

Example :- The actor and the director is attending the seminar.

The words 'each', 'anyone', 'anybody','somebody' , 'many a' etc. should be followed by Singular Verb.
