Answer: Every holiday the narrator to visit his grandmother. At that time, she used to warn the narrator about mischief, that he did not know how behave around a visitor and he was too loud and boisterous. Even he used to receive pocket money from his Aachchi and also she used to give sweets, ginger biscuits and hot ginger tea to all her grandchildren but the narrator felt that Aachchi liked his uncle's children more than him and his siblings. But when arrived in the big old mansion with his mother at the time when he was ill, he felt sorry for her and a great love for his grandmother. The message I receive from this narrative about family relationships is that we must respect the age as they have under gone through pain and suffering for the upbringing of their children. They have a special love for their children. It is the duty of the children to take care of their parents when they are aged as they undergo many stages of loneliness, sadness and poor health.
