  • Eb = length of Ab÷2
  • =8÷2=4cm
  • by pythagoras theorem
  • (Cb)2 = ( eb)2 + (ce)2
  • (11)2 = ( 4)2 + (ce)2
  • 121=16+(ce)2
  • 121-16=(ce)2
  • 105=(ce)2
  • (Ce)=105
  • =11cm
