Hofmeister also observed chromosomes with Karl Nageli at the same time but much credit is given to Karl Nageli.
Well according to some books credit of discovery of chromosome goes to Strasburger but according Google and other higher books it is Edourd van Beneden.
Strasburger described about chromosomes.
