ANSWER: yes cinema do the both it also entertains and educates also it depends upon the genre of a film ,now a days there are so many films which are based on history and real life,so that type of films are good for knowledge and entertainment both . if we watch a film for knowledge then we look at the information which that film provide,and for entertainment we focus on the story how the screen play has done. if the cinema is being misused for a purpose then it will create a huge problem because cinemas has become a part of everyone's life and they do believe what they are seeing no matters it is film or reality. today we don't have access to cinema so everyone is getting bored this shows its importantance in our life and we are having a habbit of it,now films are not made on script they are made on reality because people should know what is happening that is why it is a great source of knowledge and entertainment. if the film is shown in a wrong way then many big things will happen which will take place in society. if we talk in detail films are made more for entertainment purposes rather than on educating .
