Molar mass of HgS = 200.6 + 32 = 232.6 - This contains 200.6 g of Mercury

If 232.6 g of HgS contains 200.6 g Hg
∴  225 g of HgS will contain = (225 x 200.6) ÷ 232.6
                                                 =  194.05 g

Answer:

194.05g of Hg

Explanation:

No. of Moles in

Cinnabar (HgS) = 200.6 + 32

= 232.6

It means,

232.6 grams of HgS contains 200.6 grams of Hg

232.6g of HgS = 200.6g of Hg

1g of HgS = 200.6 ÷ 232.6

225g of HgS = (200.6 ÷ 232.6) × 225

:. 225g of HgS = 194.05g of Hg

Thank You
