Velocity of point P is 2Rω

Explanation:

For a rigid disc rotating around a pivot with an angular velocity ω, all its point will be rotating w.r.t. to the pivot with an angular velocity ω

Thus, the angular velocity of point P = ω

The distance of point P from the pivot = 2R

Therefore, the linear velocity of point P

v=\omega\times 2R

or, v=2\omega R
