CRC Training Workshop for CSOs, NGOs, Media, and Government - Amman, Jordan - Nov 2014 - CARE ANSA-AW

PAF was invited by CARE International in Egypt to conduct, for Trainers of ANSA - Arab World (ANSA-AW) member countries, a five-day regional Capacity Building Training Workshop on how to carry out Citizen Report Card (CRC) studies and make grant proposals.

Thirty key officials representing civil society / non-government organisations (CSOs / NGOs), media, and government attended this workshop held in Amman, Jordan in November 2014. Participants were from ANSA-AW's seven member countries in the Middle-East and North Africa: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, West Bank & Gaza, and Yemen.

Workshop for CSOs and CBOs in Uganda on CSCs [2013] - R4D/PAF

Results for Development [R4D] conducted their "Transparency and Advocacy Programme: Peer Learning Workshop" in June 2013, in Kampala, Uganda, the third in a series (earlier two held in 2012) for their 14 CSO and CBO partners in Africa. On behalf of Public Affairs Foundation [PAF], Dr Sita Sekhar, an independent consultant, chaired and moderated sessions on peer reviews of Community Score Cards (CSCs) carried out by the partners, and participated in a panel discussion on "Effective Advocacy - challenges, opportunities, and stories of success".

January 2013: Draft CRC report on Bihar finalised

December 2012: Dr.Sita Sekhar presented Community Score Card second round findings at a Stakeholder meeting organized by TASAF, Tanzania. Comparative analysis of the two score cards and draft final report were also submitted.

Public release of the Bihar CRC findings : Dr.Sita Sekhar and TS Prasad were in Patna for the release of CRC findings. Dr Sita presented the key findings from the CRC to representatives from media, and local NGOs. Mr. Sam Sharpe Head DFID, India released the summary findings to the gathering and spoke about why the CRC was done in Bihar.

November 2012: PAF conducted a five day extensive workshop in Bangalore on Utility of social accountability tools for service delivery improvements. Senior government officials from Tanzania and Malawi were the participants for this workshop. Resource persons included senior officials from across India who have used the CRC approach to their advantage and experts on NREGA.

Madhya Pradesh Urban Local Bodies Citizen Report Card Workshop : Dr. Sita Sekhar and T. S Prasad conducted a workshop to orient officials from various departments on the Citizen Report Card methodology, discuss services to be covered and questionnaires for the Citizen Report Card.
