Answer :-

Given linear equations :-

• x + y = 2 ...(i)

• 2x - y = 1 ...(ii)

Now by adding (ii) to (i)

x + y = 2

+

2x - y = 1

____________

→ 3x = 3

By dividing by 3 on both sides

→ 3x ÷ 3 = 3 ÷ 3

→ x = 1

By substituting value of x in equation (i)

→x + y = 2

→ 1 + y = 2

→ y = 1

Now we have Points (1,1)

Equation for line passing through it

• 3x + 5y - 8 = 0

• x + y - 2 = 0

• 2x + 2y - 4 = 0 ...etc

So we can find infinite number of lines passing through (1,1).
