Seven years ago Aftab age =( x-7) yrs

In 1 case

x-7 = 7(y-7)
x-7 = 7y- 49
x-7y = -49 +7
x-7y = -49 _____ eq no.1
After three yrs Aftab's age =(x+3) yrs
" " " daughter' s age =(y+3) yrs
In 2 case

(x+3) = 3(y+3)
x+3 = 3y +9
x-3y = 9 -3
x-3y =6 _________ eq no.2

By subtracting eq no. 1 & 2
we get: y = 12
By putting the value of Y in eq no.1
x-7y = -42
x-7 ×12 = -42
x- 84 = -42
x= -42 +84
x=42
Therefore age of Aftab = 42 yrs
" Aftab's daughter = 12 yrs
