It's a snowy day and Joe decides to go outside and dig a snow road. Marche's House - A small, brown, run-down house that has lost its summer greens. It was separated from Mr. Lawrence's large stone villa by a low hedge. She saw Laurie sitting near her upstairs window. Joe felt sorry for the poor lonely boy. She throws a snowball at the window to get Laurie's attention. Laurie admitted she had a cold and invited Joe to her house. Shortly thereafter, Joe arrived with a handful of offerings for Laurie. A bowl of pudding (a type of pudding) from Meg and a kitten from Beth. I offered to go out and read it. Laurie asked her to tell her story and Joe told him about her family.
