1. Alliteration in "stood still to smile", "terribly transient" and "silence silences".

Transferred Epithet in "Washed their terribly transient feet".

Oxymoron in "laboured ease".

Personification in "Its silence silences."

2.  The poem ‘A Photograph’ was written by Shirly Toulson. In the poem, the author describes a photograph. In the photograph are the author’s mother and her cousins. The background of the picture is the sea. Shirly states that the sea lives a lot longer than humans. Because her mother’s cousin is long dead but the sea remains.  Yes, the life of a human seems quite short when compared to the nature. In fact, if nature dies, there would not a scope for new humans. The sea, the trees, the sky and many parts of nature have a very long span of life, the span even human cannot count.
