1. The narrator broke into tear when he realized that his cat as nowhere to be seen. He would go every day while he rubble was being cleared in the hope that he would find his cat. One day as he sat with his friend on the curb, a lady comes anf asks him, if the cat she was carrying was his.

He takes it from her arms and holdes her close to him and cries. He was overjoyed on getting his pet cat back.

2.Hardships are part of life.One chat avoid it if it's destined. We can overcome it only with perseverance and determination. If we lose lose courage then the situation will get worsened only and it will improve only with our stead fastness.

The author and his family faced a lot of hardship in the story. The house was completely destroyed in the fire.As a result, he lost all his belongings and his pet cat and he and his mother had to taje refuge atvhis grandparents home. His mother had to borrow money from hus grandparents as her mkneg, credit card and identification proofs are lost in the fire.

But in the end after facing the hardships with courage, everything got back to normal as he had found the kindesness of a stranger, new friends and his beloved cat.

3.The news about the destruction of his house spreads in his new school. Everybody in the school became aware of his condition. His schoolmates help him by giving him school supplies, notebooks and cloths. The student introduced themselves to him and invited him to come to their home.

This incident helps him to open up to them and thus he make few friends.

Explanation:

Author had once saved the little kitten and after that it became his pet... he love it... when the fire broke out in the author's house he was very much worried as he didn't found his cat anywhere.... we can see further in the story that he was depressed after he had lost his cat. By this we can say that he loves his cat...

The genuine outpouring of concern by the schoolmates really touched the author. A big table was set up, just for him. They had made a collection and bought school supplies, books and all kinds of different clothes. People who had never spoken to him before came towards him and introduced themselves. He got all kinds of invitations to their houses. He realised that his new school and new people around him we're good. He made new friends that day. He felt a sense of confidence and security. He realised that everything would become alright.
