Answer:

let no. of boys and girls in class A be x1, y1

let no. of boys and girls in class A be x2, y2

class B has 40% more students than class A

(x2+y2) = (7/5)(x1+y1) ------(1)

no. of girls in class A is equal to no. of boys in class B

y1 = x2--------(2)

percentage of girls in both classes is same.

y1/(x1+y1) = y2/(x2+y2)

substitute (1) ,

y1=(5/7) y2--------(3)

using this three find x1/y2...

Hope this helps you...
