8. What are the advantages and disadvantages of air travel? Answer: Advantages of air travel:
● It is the fastest means of transport.
● Aeroplanes can fly ovr any kind of land or water - like deserts, mountains or vast
oceans.
● Goods, especially perishable items like fruits and vegetables can be transported.
Disadvantages of air travel.
● It is the most expensive means of transport.
● It can only transport few people at a time.
● Transport of bulky goods cannot be done by air.
9. What problems has improvement of road transport caused? Answer: The improvement of road transport has led to -
● Congestion on the roads.
● Traffic jams, accidents are very common in major cities of the world.
