☯ AnSwEr :

The land under forest not incresed much since 1960 - 61 because of the following reasons :

  • Deforestation : Since 1960 - 61 there is a constant deforestation which leads to not increasing of land under forest.

  • Building work : All the persons are trying to make their big buildings which takes many space. Some people make buildings in forest area also.

  • Waste land : After 1960s the waste land is also incresing very much. Waste land includes rocky, arid and desert areas, and land put to other non- agricultural uses includes settlements, roads, railways, industries, etc.
