When we place a glass prism in the path of a narrow beam of white
light a spectrum is obtained. What happens when a second
identical prism is placed in an inverted position with respect to
the first prism? Draw a labelled ray diagram to illustrate it.

All the color rays in the white light are spread out by splitting from the dispersion from the first prism.
Then due to the 2nd inverted prism, all the color rays will combine back into a single white ray. when the light rays emerge out of the 2nd prism. The deviations introduced in the path of the color rays due to the first prism are reversed by the 2nd prism. So the color rays come out parallel to each other.
