Once upon atime Bhagiratha wants to mixes up his ancestors ashes into a sacred river ,then he knews about ganga river.Then he prays to lord brahma for bringing down ganga onto the earth.Then brahma says icant do anything about it .So now he prayed to ganga,then she said i will come onto hte earth but the earth cant bear the force of my flow.So then bhagiratha prays to lord Shiva and sasys that please help me in bringing ganga to the earth.Then lord shiva helps Bhagiratha to bring down ganga to the earth
