1.The animals show the presence of minute pores on the surface.
2.the water enters through ostia and is expelled through a large osculum.
3.a large body cavity called sopngocoel is present.
4.skeleton is in the form of spicules made up of calcium carbonate.
5.asexual reproduction is by budding and regeneration. eg.sycon.
