• White hat hackers are computer professionals with expertise in cybersecurity.
• They are authorized or certified to hack the systems.
• White Hat Hackers work for governments or organizations .

Black hat hackers:-

• Black hat hackers are also knowledgeable computer experts but with the wrong intention.
• They attack other systems to get access to systems where they do not have authorized entry.
• On gaining entry they might steal the data or destroy the system.

Gray hat hackers:-

• The Gray hat hacker are the mixture the black and white hat hackers.
• They are not certified, hackers.
• The hackers work with either good or bad intentions.

Script kiddies:-

• The Script Kiddies are amateurs in the field of hacking.
• They try to hack the system with scripts from other fellow hackers. They try to hack the systems, networks, or websites.

Green hat hackers:-

• Green hat hackers are learning the ropes of hacking.
• They are slightly different from the Script Kiddies due to their intention.
• The intent is to strive and learn to become full-fledged hackers.
• They are looking for opportunities to learn from experienced hackers.

Blue hat hackers:-

• Green hat hackers are learning the ropes of hacking.
• They are slightly different from the Script Kiddies due to their intention.
• The intent is to strive and learn to become full-fledged hackers.
• They are looking for opportunities to learn from experienced hackers.

Red hat hackers:-

• Red Hat Hackers are synonymous with Eagle-Eyed Hackers.
• They are similar to white hackers.
• The red hat hackers intend to stop the attack of black hat hackers.
• The difference between red hat hackers and white hat hackers is in the process of hacking through intention remains the same.

State/nation sponsored hackers:-

• Government appoints hackers to gain information about other countries.
• These hackers are known as State/Nation sponsored hackers.
• They use their knowledge to gain confidential information from other countries to be well prepared for any upcoming danger to their country.

Hacktivist:-

• The hackers intend to hack government websites.
• They pose themselves as activists, so known as a hacktivist.
• Hacktivist can be an individual or a bunch of nameless hackers whose intent is to gain access to government websites and networks.

Whistleblower:-

• An individual working in an organization can expose confidential information.
• The intent behind the exposure might be a personal grudge with the organization or the individual might have come across the illegal activities within the organization.

Answer:

Hackers are people who find a different kind of solution to a problem in a way of elegance. Hackers can be programmers and even côders. As the hackers are people who find ways to fix vulnerabilities of a computer or to exploit them, it is necessary for them to know programming. Professional hackers are people who have knowledge of both programming and côding. Basically there are three types of computer hackers, they are as follows:

1. White Hat Hacker/Ethical Hacker: White Hat Hackers are people who find and fix the vulnerabilities of a computer system for better security. Ethical Hackers are Hackers with Ethics. They are legal hackers and are appointed by many big companies for the fixing of vulnerabilities in their computer systems. Ethical Hackers are more intelligent than the Black Hat Hackers or the Grey Hat Hackers. These kind of hacking include- Computer Penetration Testing, Vulnerabilities Testing, etc..
2. Black Hat Hacker/Cracker: While White Hat Hackers find a way to fix the vulnerabilities of a computer system, Black Hat Hackers find a way to exploit them. They do what is illegal to get the profit of money. They are considered less talented than the Ethical Hackers. They do what is wrong just for their profit. Before they were known as Cracker because they were the hackers who crack into the computer system of others without the permission of the computer user to exploit and find ways to make the computer as miserable as possible. These kind of hacking include- Bank Robbery, Hacking Companies, etc..
3. Grey Hat Hacker: Grey Hat Hacker are people who hack for enjoyment. They are also considered as illegal because they find ways into a computer system illegally. They hack for their enjoyment. They are less talented than the Black Hat and White Hat Hackers. These kind of hacking include- Gaming Hacks, Social Media Account Hacks, etc..

Other kinds of hackers include many more different types but actually there are only three types of main hackers (written above). As a learner of the emerging art of hacking, I myself think that information should be something that should be free for everyone and hackers themselves are people who try to make it possible. Hackers just try to make the impossible, possible by making information free.
