Classify directions.

Directions are classified into two types.First one are main directions also known as Cardinal directions. 

They are 

1) North 
2) South 
3) East 
4) West. 

Cardinal directions are at 90°to the axes. in the Co-ordinate plame

Second is Ordinal or Inter cardinal directions. The ordinal (orintercardinal) directions are 

1) South west
2) North west 
3) South east 
4) North east. 

These are located between two cardinal directions. They are at 45° to the axes.

But 
Their are some more directions which are present between two cardinal directions 

North West 
South West
