1. Agro based industries.
2. Mineral based industries.

These industries are different from each other in the following basis:
a) Agro Based Industries:
Get their raw materials from agricultural products.
Eg: Textile Industries-cotton, jute, sugar, coffee,etc.

b) Mineral Based Industries:
Get their raw materials from minerals.
Eg: Iron and steel, cement, etc.
